I am a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Bowdoin College, where I teach courses at all levels of the Italian program, from introductory language to advanced courses on Dante. My research focuses on medieval Italian literature, with a focus on Dante. I have experience teaching Italian language, academic writing, and literature courses that span the Western literary tradition.
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, grew up in a small mountain town in Colorado, and have spent the past decade studying, working, and traveling between the East Coast and Italy. I have an A.B. in French & Italian from Princeton University and an M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Italian and Comparative Literature from Columbia University. Before coming to Bowdoin, I was a Lecturer in the Department of Italian Studies at Yale University.
