I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Bowdoin College, where I teach courses at all levels of the Italian Studies program, from introductory language to advanced courses on Dante. My research focuses on medieval Italian literature, with a focus on Dante, Petrarch, and Boccaccio in their religious, historical, and political contexts. I have experience teaching Italian language, academic writing, and literature courses that span the Western literary tradition.

Before coming to Bowdoin in 2024, I was a Lecturer in the Department of Italian Studies at Yale University, where I taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Italian Studies, as well as in the Directed Studies Program. I have a PhD in Italian and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, and an AB in French & Italian from Princeton University.
